High Performance Butterfly Valves use a disc offset from the seat center, hence the name Double Offset. In this configuration, the disc is eccentric, or offset, from the valve seat. As the disc starts to rotate, it moves away from the seat instead of across it. This design actually uses the line pressure to help give it its seal. This feature allows the use of offset butterfly valves in high‐pressure applications such as ethanol or HVAC. It generally uses PTFE or plastic as its seat material, but metal seats are also available to meet fire‐testing specifications like API 607.
High-performance butterfly valves provide precise flow regulation, tight shut-off, and low-pressure drop in demanding applications. Designed for high-pressure and high-temperature systems, they ensure reliable isolation in HVAC, water treatment, oil & gas, and chemical processing. Their bi-directional sealing, durable disc design, and fire-safe options enhance safety and efficiency. Available with manual, pneumatic, or electric actuators, they offer quick operation and minimal maintenance, making them ideal for critical shut-off, throttling, and automated process control.
High-performance butterfly valves excel with zero-leakage bidirectional sealing, ensuring reliability in high-pressure and high-temperature environments. Their compact, lightweight design reduces installation space while maintaining superior flow efficiency. Made from corrosion-resistant materials like stainless steel and resilient seats, they withstand chemicals, steam, and aggressive media. Advanced eccentric disc technology minimizes wear and extends service life. With fire-safe certifications and compatibility for automated actuation, they are ideal for oil & gas, power plants, and water treatment, offering durability, precision, and low maintenance.
