A cast steel globe valve is a type of valve used to regulate the flow of a fluid in a pipeline. It is named for its spherical body shape and is typically made from cast steel, which provides durability and strength, making it suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The cast steel globe valve has a spherical body with an internal baffle that divides the inside of the valve into two halves. The baffle has an opening that forms the seat onto which a movable plug (or disc) can be screwed in to close (or open) the valve. Cast Steel Globe valves are excellent for throttling and regulating flow. The design allows for precise control over the flow rate. KFTE Cast Steel Globe Valves are manufactured according to BS1873 / API 602. Our range is tested vigorously to API 598 and design standard ANSI B16.34. All of our products are supplied with EN10204 3.1 Test Certification. Further testing is available on customer request such as; radiography testing and Non-destructive Testing (NDT).
