All ball valves can be manufactured in a full range of exotic materials to EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2.

Different Types of Ball Valve

Floating Ball Valve
Floating Ball Valve
KFTE Valve manufactures a comprehensive range of Floating Ball Valve in sizes 1/4" to 6" (DN 8 to DN 150) in ASME class from 150 to 2500. The valves are offered in combinations of size, pressure class, material of construction, end-connection, etc., to suit various applications in process plants, utility lines and HVAC. KFTE Floating Ball Valve conforms to API 6D / ISO 17292 and offers high integrity bi-directional sealing as per valve type.
Trunnion Ball Valve
Trunnion Ball Valve
KFTE Trunnion Ball Valve is the preferred choice of ball valve in higher sizes and pressure ratings and is used in pipelines and critical process applications. The valves have advanced design features such as a built-in cavity relief mechanism, anti-static, and intrinsic double block and bleed facility. All valves are fire-safe tested as per API 607/API 6FA.
Small Size Ball Valve
Small Size Ball Valve
Compact and efficient, small ball valves are ideal for instrumentation, HVAC, automation, and tight-space applications. Their lightweight, corrosion-resistant design enables reliable flow control in low-pressure gas, water, and chemical systems. Commonly used in pharmaceuticals, food processing, semiconductor manufacturing, and automotive cooling, these valves offer quick shut-off and precise regulation.
Side Entry Ball Valve
Side Entry Ball Valve
A side-entry ball valve features a multi-piece body (split into two or three sections) bolted together laterally, allowing the ball and internals to be installed from the side. While offering sturdy construction, it requires full disassembly for maintenance, increasing downtime.
Split Body Ball Valve
Split Body Ball Valve
Designed for easy maintenance, split body ball valve features a two/three-piece bolted body, enabling quick access to internals (ball, seats, seals) without pipeline removal.
Full Welded Ball Valve
Full Welded Ball Valve
Featuring a seamless one-piece welded body, this valve ensures zero leakage by eliminating flanges and gaskets, making it ideal for hazardous fluids and high-pressure/temperature applications (up to Class 2500, -196°C to 550°C).
Segment Ball Valve
Segment Ball Valve
Segment ball valves, alternatively referred to as V-port ball valves or partial ball valves, utilize a specially designed ball with a V-shaped notch or segmented profile rather than a standard full-bore opening. This unique structure enhances their ability to provide precise flow regulation and throttling, while still maintaining key advantages of conventional ball valves.
DBB Ball Valve
DBB Ball Valve
KFTE double block and bleed ball valve utilising both soft seats and a metal to metal seat, with flange to body connection for superior, bubble tight sealing capabilities at both high pressures and temperatures. Interchangeable flange options make this valve highly customisable for applications that include changes in piping configurations. This series offers working pressures of up to ASME B16.5 class 2500 with a maximum working temperature of up to 200℃.
3 Way Ball Valve
3 Way Ball Valve
KFTE three way ball valve with ISO5211 Mounting Pad. 1. Floating ball, full bore or reduce bore. 2. ISO5211 mounting pad for easy automation. 3. Blow-out proof stem design. 4. PTFE/RPTFE seat seal( Seat seal material could be decided by customer's request or according to valve's medium & temp. Condition). 5. Fire-proof and anti-static design if need. 6. Operation: Hand wheel, Worm wheel, Pneumatic actuator & Electric Actuator.
Top Entry Ball Valve
Top Entry Ball Valve
KFTE top entry ball valve have been designed for Severe Service and generally used in the Petrochemical, Refining, Upstream Oil and Gas, Power and Chemical applications. The designs incorporate many technically advanced features which ensure reliable and repeatable shut off performance whilst providing the highest levels of safety as demanded by these industries. Top entry ball valve can be accessed by removing the cover without extracting the valve from the line. With some special maintenance tools, ball and seatrings can be removed and repaired or spare parts can be changed.

How do Ball Valves Work?

Ball valves operate by using a spherical ball with a hole through its center, which rotates within the valve body to control fluid flow. When the ball’s hole aligns with the flow path, the valve is open, allowing fluid to pass through. Rotating the ball 90 degrees so that the hole is perpendicular to the flow path closes the valve, blocking fluid flow. This simple mechanism provides reliable sealing, quick operation, and minimal pressure drop, making ball valves ideal for various industrial applications.

What are Ball Valves Used For?

Ball valves are widely used for their reliability and efficiency in controlling fluid flow. They are commonly employed in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, water treatment, and manufacturing. Ball valves are ideal for applications requiring a tight seal and quick shutoff, such as in pipelines, storage tanks, and process systems. Their ability to handle high pressure and temperature makes them suitable for both on/off and throttling operations, ensuring optimal performance in diverse industrial environments.
