KFTE manufactures a comprehensive range of Ball Valves in sizes range 1/2" to 36" (DN15mm - DN900mm) in ASME classes from 150 to 2500(PN1.6 - 42MPa). The valves are offered in a variety of body styles, materials, trims and actuation options. KFTE Ball Valves meet the requirements of API 6D and can be offered with API 6D monogram. The ball valves are certified Fire Safe as per API 6FA, API 607 and ISO 10497, and meet Fugitive Emission requirements of ISO 15848 and API 641. All ball valves can be manufactured in a full range of exotic materials to EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2.
Ball valves operate by using a spherical ball with a hole through its center, which rotates within the valve body to control fluid flow. When the ball’s hole aligns with the flow path, the valve is open, allowing fluid to pass through. Rotating the ball 90 degrees so that the hole is perpendicular to the flow path closes the valve, blocking fluid flow. This simple mechanism provides reliable sealing, quick operation, and minimal pressure drop, making ball valves ideal for various industrial applications.
Ball valves are widely used for their reliability and efficiency in controlling fluid flow. They are commonly employed in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, water treatment, and manufacturing. Ball valves are ideal for applications requiring a tight seal and quick shutoff, such as in pipelines, storage tanks, and process systems. Their ability to handle high pressure and temperature makes them suitable for both on/off and throttling operations, ensuring optimal performance in diverse industrial environments.
